Dear Oscar: The days go by without you. Three months now and the memories of your life come and go endlessly. There are many in your 18 years. Many, very beautiful and very endearing. By remembering those memories and seeing you in the company of so many people, they give us an idea of why on the day of your homage you had those sincere demonstrations of sympathy and affection from entire families. This filled us with emotion when we thought that a single person, just by being the way you were and now with your absence, could generate so much contained pain and grief, and at the same time so much
enthusiasm, with eyes filled with tears, to say the last goodbye to a boy, who with only the practice of sport, filled lives, for a time, of so many young people who felt admiration and respect for him.
Tell me, dear grandson: what kind of magic did you have? What effect did your presence produce, that only with your smile you earned the appreciation of people, and wherever you went you left the trace of your charisma, your simplicity, your naturalness and your good work.
It’s hard not to carry people like you in your heart, and even harder when you didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. Your body is no longer with us, dear grandson, but your spirit will fill our lives forever.
Justin
